Hiraya Surf Hostel is located in Catangnan, General Luna, Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte, Philippines. General Luna is the main hub of Siargao's surf scene and is home to the famous Cloud 9 surf break. When you land at Sayak Airport (IAO), it's about a 30–45 minute tricycle or habal-habal ride to reach us in Catangnan.

Fly directly to Sayak Airport (IATA: IAO) in Siargao. Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines offer regular flights from Manila (MNL) and Cebu (CEB). Flight time from Manila is approximately 1.5–2 hours. From the airport, take a tricycle or habal-habal (motorcycle taxi) to General Luna (approximately 30–45 minutes). Alternatively, you can arrange airport transfers — just let us know your arrival details when you make your inquiry.

Hiraya offers mixed dormitory beds, a female-only dormitory, standard private rooms, and deluxe private rooms. We also offer surf packages that combine accommodation with daily surf lessons and guided island hopping. All accommodation gives you full access to the hostel's community spaces, high-speed WiFi, daily yoga sessions, and the in-house cafe (open 8am–3pm daily). Absolutely not. Hiraya's surf classes are designed for all levels — from complete beginners who have never touched a board, to intermediate surfers looking to improve technique and advance to better breaks. Our instructors assess your level and place you in the right group. General Luna has a variety of breaks suitable for learning, and Catangnan is well-positioned as a base for accessing both mellow beginner waves and more challenging breaks as you progress.

Our surf packages typically include accommodation (dorm or private depending on the package), daily surf lessons with a qualified instructor, surfboard rental, and rash guard use. The Island Hopping + Surf package also includes a guided boat tour to Siargao's most visited spots — lagoons, rock pools, and natural attractions — with lunch. Exact inclusions vary by package, so please send an inquiry for the latest details. Packages require a minimum stay (typically 3–5 nights).
